The BSE Capital Goods index was down 1.43% at 10,361.83. It underperformed the Sensex, which was down 0.46% at 18,410.31. The BSE Capital Goods index rose 13.58% in the preceding nine sessions to 10512.08 on 18 September 2012 from a recent low of 9255 on 6 September 2012. The BSE Capital Goods index had outperformed the market over the past one month till 18 September 2012, rising 4.62% compared with the Sensex's 4.55% rise.
